"A Husband's Not To Look At, He's To Get"...

Finally we are watching Fiddler On The Roof!

After watching Jane Eyre, we are creating a classical list of movies we want to share with our children each year. Here's what we have so far:
1. The Sound of Music
2. Jane Eyre,
3. Fiddler on the Roof.

I'm open to suggestions BTY.

Hi Nickie, I just thought I would suggest some of my favorites. I don't know if all would be considered "classics" but I think they have great messages: I like Pollyanna and Follow Me, Boys (Both Disney), I also like Little Women, Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea (I think it was renamed as Anne of Green Gables, The Sequel), Others I like (but don't know if I would consider "classics" are Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Summer Magic, The One and Only Genuine, Original Family Band, and The Happiest Millionaire (Those 3 are Disney) - I grew up on all of those movies and so I can watch them again and again - I love the Sound of Music but I will have to check out Jane Eyre and Fiddler on the Roof - I also like all of Jane Austen's books made in to movies

Nancy,
Thanks so much for refreshing my mind! I love Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea too and we have those movies. We do like Follow Me Boys and will need to add that. We love the book Pollyanna but found the movie version terrible compared to the book and we are currently reading Little Women again and so I will look into that movie. It is the one with Susan Surrandon?
I love your suggestions. Thank you so much.

I think the one with susan surrandon is better. I recently saw the old version with katherine hepburn and didn't like it as much. I grew up watching the movie "Pollyanna" so when I recently read the book it was hard for me to like it since I was so used to the movie. I did like it, but it was hard for me since I kept picturing the movie characters.
